Anaesthesia and intensive care unit
Our certified, interdisciplinary intensive care unit (ICU) offers space for seven beds and six ventilation places. Our doctors and nursing staff in the intensive care unit provide round-the-clock care and nursing for seriously ill and life-threatening patients. Our teams are also trained to provide the best possible support for relatives in this exceptional situation. The generously designed care rooms offer plenty of daylight and a pleasant and personal atmosphere. The quality of the intensive care unit is regularly reviewed by the Swiss Society of Intensive Care Medicine (SGI).

- Treatment of serious infectious diseases in general
- Treatment of severe lung diseases
- Follow-up treatment after major surgical interventions
- Follow-up treatment after minor operations for patients with serious concomitant illnesses
Caring for relatives
An intensive care unit differs from other departments in that it is equipped with countless technical devices. Despite a high level of staff commitment to the individual patient, this often leads to anxiety and the feeling of being at the mercy of others. For this reason, personal contact with patients and their relatives is absolutely central to us and a major concern.
Our specially trained staff in the intensive care unit create space for discussions and organise psychological or pastoral support. You can count on us during this extraordinary and stressful phase.
